AN INVITATION ...

Last year I purchased a 24,000 sq ft. warehouse building at 120 West North Avenue (at Howard Street) in the recently designated Station North Arts and Entertainment District.  Currently the space is called Lo    Ad  Of   F     Un Studios and is occupied by 20 artist studios, a storefront gallery and several open exhibition/performance spaces. The 8000 sq ft roof area is visible from the Jones Falls Expressway and is available for installations as is the 3 story front façade clearly visible to heavy traffic crossing the Howard Street bridge.

As part of the promotion of the SNAE District and LOF Studios, LOF is hosting aLtskape 2006.

WHICH IS > partly a weekend semi-resurrection of the Exquisite Corpse of the Church of the Subgenius, Merzaum, Collective Desire Productions, Festival of the Disappearing Arts, Impossible Theater, Empire Salon, Tinklers, Dork Brothers, Lambs Eat Ivy etc.

AND > partly an opportunity for contemporary artists to exhibit, perform etc. to the periphery of the 1,000,000-plus attendees of Artscape.

AND > an effort help to promote the Arts and Entertainment District of Station North.

 aLtskape 2006 is scheduled for the weekend of July 21-23, 2006 (coincidental with the weekend of Artscape).
